"PUSSY" MOUNTAIN"Some nautical miles southeast of Pleiku, there is an unofficial famous landmark called "Pussy Mountain." Most US Caribou Pilots are familiar with this mountain, because it is located right on their flight path each time they ferry supplies to Pleiku. The VNAF airmen might have a different name for this special landmark, but any gentlemen who see the mountain would totally agree with the descriptive name. Thanks all US Caribou airmen for the "sensational" photos. By chance, PQK had a "Pussy Mountain" photo taken from the ground. Most Vietnamese people saw the mountain from sea level; perhaps due to different level perspectives, the local Vietnamese called the mountain "NUI HAM RONG" (Dragon Jaw Mountain). But I think both American pilots and local folks saw the same thing: a cave! The difference is way of...expression! :0) Back to VNAF PHOTOS PAGE #1Some art works and photos are properties of their owners, the rest by VNAF MA MN.© Copyright 2005 vnafmamn.com. |
