VNAF PHOTO section - vnafmamn.com You are viewing the first page of VNAF photo section. At the begining, we planned to use this PHOTO SECTION to store all related VNAF pictures; however, in the process, there were many aspects about Vietnam war than we could anticipate. As a result, you see more than just aircraft on this Photo Section. All new Photo pages are listed on the left column. Enjoy!
REQUIEMThis photo section begins with the pictures served as the requiem, paying tribute to all who sacrificed their lives in defending Saigon on the final day of April 30, 1975, when all the King's men and his ally had flew away for their own sanctuary. Some may see these photos as the images of defeat, but take a hard look at the historical pictures: They not only told the true story of Vietnam war but they also mirrored the ultimate sacrifice, heroism, human desperation and finally the state of being abandoned. Mr. Bui Diem, former South Vietnam Ambassador to the US in an interview has spoke of his mind: "..Never put the fate of our nation into the foreigners' hands..."Perhaps this is the priceless messages for the many next Vietnamese generations. ARVN Airborn Rangers never surrender in any circumstance. On the final day of Vietnam War, the commandos of major Pham Chau Tai's unit knocked down a column of North Vietnamese Communist T-54's near Tan Son Nhat airbase then disappeared into the crowd.
